There are two primary types of abortion pills, Mifepristone (called RU 486, Mifegyn, or Mifeprex) and Misoprostol (called Mibetec, Prostokos, Cytotec, Arthrotec, Oxaprost, Cyprostol, or Misotrol). In most cases, a two-part abortion pill (Mifepristone/Misoprostol) can be administered to women up to the 9th week of pregnancy. The abortion pills have a 90% success rate, meaning one out of 10 women will not abort by taking the pills. There is also a serious potential for mild to severe side effects, ranging from fever and continuous bleeding to death. For more information about the abortion pill and other options regarding pregnancy, call us today at 817-753-6222.
